The Gravity-Fed Philosophy of Baigorri
Located in Samaniego under the shadow of the Sierra de Cantabria, Bodegas Baigorri is a landmark of modern Rioja Alavesa architecture. Designed by Iñaki Aspiazu, the 32-meter subterranean facility operates entirely on natural gravity across seven cascading levels. By eliminating mechanical pumps and maceration screws, Baigorri preserves the unblemished integrity of hand-selected old-vine Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Viura grapes.
