Les Pierres d'Aurèle is a 20 hectare family wine estate located in the heart of the Loire Valley, a French wine region in full renaissance. For the past ten years, the dynamism of young winegrowers has enabled the Region to rise to the rank of the best French vineyards. It is in this spirit that we took over the vineyard in 2010 and that we work daily to develop high quality terroir wines.
Our vines are cultivated on the clay-siliceous terroirs of Chenonceaux with the greatest respect for our environment. The vines, aged 15 to 105 years, have deliberately limited yields to obtain grapes of optimal quality.
After the harvest, we take the greatest care in the vinification to achieve a range of rich wines ranging, for example, from the fruity Sauvignon
typical of Touraine to the more confidential rosé of Pineau d'Aunis. We would be happy to introduce them to you during a friendly tasting at the estate.
Les Pierres d'Aurèle Rouge 2018 is a red wine with character made from a blend of Côt and Cabernet Franc grape varieties. Aging for 12 months in French oak barrels.
This wine has a dark and sustained colour. On the nose, its bouquet awakens to ripe and blooming aromas of prune and violet with subtle roasted notes. In the mouth, we discover the kirsch morello cherry, with a cocoa finish, supported by a nice tannic structure.
The wine can be aged for up to 10 years.
