Matured in French oak hogsheads for 24 months. Dense black as night heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Heady black cherry and aniseed aromas are intermeshed with toasty vanillin cedar, earth and blackpepper. Rich and lavish the hefty palate sports luscious black cherry and liquorice fruits over toasty vanillin oak, scorched earth and pepper. Ripe sturdy tannin structure with some lingering heat on the lusty finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.

Other Reviews….
Produced from old, dry-grown vines, aged for 24 months in fine-grained French oak hogsheads. 16.5% alcohol, which seems a daunting figure to me. But there's plenty of rich fruit here for sure, and depth of dark berried flavour with the oak making a positive contribution. The line between tannin and alcohol heat feels a little blurred, but the finish is long and sustained. Drink by 2027.

Vibrant, rich with a bold, entry. Loads of fruits, pepper and almost chewy tannins. Good length.
Culinary Recommendation: To serve 16 C - 18 C. Good match with Beef, Lamb, Game (deer, venison) and Poultry
