An exceptional estate, Chateau Lynch-Moussas harvests by hand with double sorting, first in the vineyard and then in the cellar. Then comes a vinification in thermo-regulated vats and maturing in oak barrels (60% new barrels) for an average of 18 months. Chateau Lynch-Moussas 2017 is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Merlot. It has a very beautiful dark colour with ruby tints and a rich and complex bouquet of small black berries combined with tertiary notes of flower petal, cocoa and smoke.
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the Lynch Moussas opens with herbal notes of wild sage and bay leaves over a core of warm blackcurrant, redcurrant jelly, cedar chest and pencil shavings. The medium-bodied palate is fairly chewy, with notable oak and just enough fruit, finishing with an invigorating herbal lift.
