Introduction To Provence Wine Region

Domaine Pieracci, Provence, France

Born into a family of winegrowers, Jean-Pierre Pieracci chose in 2000 to develop the estate which bears his name on a plot classified Côtes de Provence located in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer and on the territory of Cadière d'Azur, village perched on its rocky outcrop facing the medieval village of Le Castellet. These lands are planted half in Bandol and half in local wine.

In 2006, a new winery was built in St-Cyr. In 2007, the Pieracci estate produced 18,000 bottles in the Bandol appellation, including 15,000 in rosé wine and 3,000 in red and 7,000 bottles in Côtes de Provence (including 2/3 rosé and 1/3 red).

AOP Bandol rouge, 2017

The nose on black fruits, leather and liquorice. A wine of great intensity with coated tannins. Supported by a beautiful freshness characteristic of the estate's wines. Wine is suitable for aging, which reveals the secrets of bandol.

Culinary Recommendation: To serve at 15 C - 16 C. Good match with Red meat.
