This is the fourth vintage of the Reserve Gruner Veltliner which takes its inspiration from the Reserve style Gruners in the Kamptal wine region of Austria.
Made from selected, riper grapes, this wine is 100% wild-fermented in old French barrels and is then aged on the lees, in the barrels, for 11 months prior to bottling. After bottling the wine is then aged a further 18 months in our cool underground cellar. As with other noble varieties such as Chardonnay, this Reserve Gruner Veltliner has the ability to mature and develop for many years. Intense and complex on the nose with caramelized orange peel, citrus, glazed pineapple and crushed tarragon.
The palate is full with great presence, yet equally manages to retain a lively, zingy line of citrus and appealing mineral/ slate notes.
Serve with grilled white meats, your favourite sea-food and spicy Asian cuisine.
