Sommelier's Notes

Garnet red colour, elegant and noble by the glass. The nose is ethereal and spicy, initially characterized by hints of overripe plums and wild berries in alcohol, then by references to tobacco and licorice, and finally by vegetable and balsamic flavours. Warm and soft on the palate, then also juicy and full-bodied, it is thick in the tannic texture and long in persistence. Very balanced overall.

Winery: Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

All the pieces of the mosaic have been perfectly positioned, and the result obtained by the Begali winery is simply excellent. An Amarone della Valpolicella, the one produced by the company of San Pietro in Cariano, which comes from the most classic territory of the denomination, to express itself in a sip of absolute harmony, in which all the components harmonize beautifully with each other. The fruit, overripe, in spirit and jam, is followed by the elegant tones given by the passage in wood, and enriched with precious balsamic and vegetable nuances. Raised in oak tonneaux and large barrels for at least three years, it is an Amarone that will make you discover the most beautiful side of Valpolicella.
