Sommelier's Notes

On the eastern fringes of the appellation, this small family property of 12 ha has been run since 2009 by Yann Vergniaud, who took over from his parents, Nadine and Jean. The vineyard benefits from the Issigeac limestone terroir, rich in flint.

This cuvée with an intense color and a flattering nose of small red fruits, blackcurrant and blackberry enhanced with spices. The palate, in line with the grain, seduces with its roundness, its smoothness, its already melted tannins and its long fruity and spicy finish.

Winemaking : Pre-fermentation maceration, pigeage, post-fermentation maceration, malolactic fermentation in an ovoid tank

Maturing : 10 months in ovoid tank on lees

Ageing Potential : 6-7 years

Culinary Recommendation : Serve at: 15-16 ° C Accompanied by duck aiguillettes
