Sommelier's Notes

Château Lafite-Karkasse produced and bottled at the estate. History Chateau rooted in the XVIII century, and before 1790 it bought the Crown Prosecutor Joseph Lafitte, here is the Carthusian monastery, surrounded by vineyards, is looked after by the monks. In 1955, it is owned by Pierre de Padirac, which restructured the vineyards and cellars are technically perfected, so that now the wine can be properly "grow old."

Wine "Château Lafite-Karkasse" is made from two grape varieties, grown on 30-year vines: Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and Merlot (30%), and, thanks to the dominance of a blend of Cabernet, wine has a strong taste and a long aging potential. Merlot, in turn, softens and gives the wine astringency charming fruit and berry tones. After fermentation for 21 days, the wine is aged 14 months in oak barrels, of which 30% - new. Wine storage capacity is at least 12-15 years.

Wine Château Lafite-carcass exported by Grands Chais de France (GCF group), which was founded in 1979 by Joseph Helfrich and today is the largest producer and exporter of French wines. The company owns its own chateau in such well-known regions such as Bordeaux, Alsace, Loire Valley and Beaujolais, and the production of wine combines centuries-old traditions of French winemakers and modern know-how. Chez le Grand Wine France focused primarily on ordinary consumers, not professional sommelier, so the three groups of specialized oenologists are constantly working on a bunch of wine annually creating new and improving old wine with the expectations of consumers around the world. Due to her extensive market research and strict quality control, the company's wines are becoming increasingly popular and annually win prizes at the most prestigious international competitions.

Wine of deep ruby colour with purple highlights. The wine has an exquisite flavor, which harmoniously interwoven notes of black fruit and small berries, complemented by wood tones and nuances of coffee. The wine shows an elegant, harmonious taste with notes of blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and gooseberries, complemented by spicy oak and nuances.

"The estate on the plateau of Saint-Estèphe is well situated to produce this rich, full-bodied wine. Broad tannins give the dry core essential for aging. They are balanced by black-currant fruits from the 50% Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. It will age well; drink from 2025. Roger Voss" - 92/100, Wine Enthusiast
