The Domaine started its activity in the 1960s. Michel POULLEAU and his wife Jacqueline together exploited the vineyard. Then in 1983, their son Thierry joined them with their daughter-in-law who also jointed them later to manage the estate for the administrative and commercial part. After 1996 when Michel retired, the estate has headed by Thierry and Florence with the help of two ladies.
Semi-translucent dark crimson red colour with crimson mauve hue showing good depth.
The nose displays youthful but perfumed aromas of black cherry and dark plum with a meaty overlay followed by some spice and a hint of Earth as endnotes.
Light to medium weight the palate is quite spicy with flavours of dark cherry and plum followed by some meaty earth like characters.
Good power wave which should continue to build with some bottle age.
Very fine-grained tannins with medium to long aftertaste of dark cherry, spice and dried meat.
Age of the vine: 25 years
Aging potential: 7‐8 years
Culinary agreements: To serve at 15‐16 ° C. Good match with roast of pork, braised veal or cheeses like soumaintrain or munster.
