Château Larmande is a Bordeaux wine classified as a grand cru and produced in the Saint-Emilion appellation. Coming from a vineyard whose vines are more than 25 years old, this red wine will make neophytes salivate as well as the most seasoned. The grapes have developed their gustatory assets on a soil which is at the same time chalky-clayey, clayey-siliceous and made up of old sands. The climate alternating between rain and heat created strong thermal amplitudes which are positively felt in the maturity of the grapes harvested between the end of September and mid-October. The grape varieties of this Château Larmande 2016 are 77% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc and 4% Carbernet Sauvignon. Maturing continued in oak barrels, 60% of which were new.
The result is a beautiful, intense and brilliant purplish red colour. On the nose, you will be pleased to find pastry notes. On the palate, balance is the order of the day. The tannins appear creamy, elegant and bring a beautiful roundness. The finish combines spicy, cocoa and red fruit notes.
