Beaune has flowed in the veins of the Cauvard family and the eponymous wine estate for 4 generations. Capital of Burgundy wines, Beaune is also the birthplace of the 19-hectare estate. Henri Cauvard, the father, has chaired the ODG (Management Body) of the Beaune appellation for many years. With other producers, he campaigns to give the wines of Beaune all the light they deserve. Julien Cauvard, the son, is today at the head of the family domain. Along the Côte de Beaune, the estate's wines are produced in 5 towns: Volnay, Pommard, Beaune, Chorey-lès-Beaune and Aloxe-Corton. The Cauvard estate offers some very fine Village appellations as well as some of the most prestigious Premier Crus: Beaune Premier Cru Les Teurons and Beaune Premier Cru Les Grèves.
