Sommelier's Notes

Château Bernadotte, in the village of Saint-Sauveur in Haut-Médoc, is a lovely mansion built in 1860 and has a 40 ha vineyard. Bought in 1973 by a Swedish manufacturer, it is now owned by Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande - a winery in the Pauillac appellation - since 1997. This particular wine, bottled in 1996, is one of the last bottles produced before the acquisition.

Oaky with pleasant aromas of mushroom and dark berries, this Haut-Médoc is a true representation of the best of Left Bank Bordeaux! Directly from the vineyard.
