Sommelier's Notes

The territory of Villamagna has a centuries-old tradition in the cultivation of vines, attested by its name ("villa magna" in fact means "large farm"), and has always been considered the most suitable for the production of Montepulciano grapes. 


Its hills enjoy a unique microclimate that makes them among the most suitable in the world for the cultivation of vines. The extreme proximity to the sea and the mountains means that there are sudden changes in temperature between day and night and between the different seasons. 


These particular climatic characteristics make the white wines very fragrant and the red wines complex and suitable for long aging. The hills where the vineyards of the winery are cultivated are in perfect south-east exposure, between 120 and 200 meters above sea level. The soils are calcareous-clayey,
