Chateau Clinet, owned by the Laborde family, produces wonderfully smooth wines.
Its vineyards stand at the highest point of the Pomerol plateau, in the heart of the appellation’s most prestigious estates.
Sustainable viticulture methods are used to tend the vineyard; the average age of the vines is 47 years.
The cellars are equipped with state-of-the- art facilities.
Fleur de Clinet was created in 2006 as the second wine of Chateau Clinet artfully blending the three different types of terroir that characterize Pomerol.
Clinet works with a selection of winegrowers to compose this original wine, including Chateau Clinet.
The vinification and ageing are carried out by the same team and with as much attention as for the ‘Grand Vin’.
Ageing in second-fill barrels brings out the freshness and finesse of the aromas.
Fleur de Clinet 2016 displays a bright ruby colour.
Floral in nature, you also find ripe, dark plums, licorice, cherries and herbs on the nose.
Soft, silky, easy to to like and even easier to drink due to all those ripe, polished, elegant plums, dark chocolate, espresso, and smoked cherries in the finish.
