The “Right Bank” appellation of Pomerol in Bordeaux is home to some of the greatest wine estates in the world. Planted predominantly with Merlot, Cabernet Franc often serves as supporting role in these wines. Château Hosanna produces one such wine from 40+ year old vines grown in red gravel with layers of clay. The result: a deep ruby color with notes of black raspberry, cherry, plum and a kiss of oak.
Very attractive aromas of violets, purple cherries and plums with notes of chocolate, cedar and baking spices. The palate has a fullish feel with very concentrated, ripe dark plums, wrapped in super long, silky tannins. Quite a deep, flavorful finish, holding long and fresh. Try from 2023.
