Clos Floridène vineyard, in Pujols sur Ciron, located in the Graves region, has been slowly developed since 1982 by Denis and Florence Dubourdieu, thanks to the successive purchases of plots located in the best terroirs.
The name of the estate is derived from the two founders' first names.
It is mainly produced with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 30 ° C, for 20-25 days.
Subsequently the wine ages for 12 months in partially new French oak barrels, before being bottled.
Clos Floridène is characterized by a bright ruby red color.
The nose opens with elegant hints of black currant and wild strawberry, enriched with notes of mint, licorice and smoke. On the palate it is powerful, fresh and fruity, with silky tannins.
