Winery Château Tanunda, Barossa, Australia

Château Tanunda, birthplace of the Barossa, was established in 1890 and is the site of some of the Valley’s first vines planted as well as its first winery. The majestic bluestone winery and vineyards is a living testament to the colourful history and pioneering spirit of Australia’s most famous wine region.

Now, thanks to the passion and dedication of the Geber family, this iconic Barossa estate is celebrated amongst the top wineries in Australia, as it recognises 130 years of fine winemaking in 2020.

With the ‘Old Vines Expressions’ and ‘The Everest’ Wines, Château Tanunda receives regular international recognition by renowned wine critics and wine shows for producing some of the best wines in the world. CHATEAU TANUNDA GRAND BAROSSA CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2016

Lifted aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and vanilla are accompanied by vibrant, dark berry fruits on the palate.

The finish is long with fine-grained tannins from sixteen months maturation in a combination of new and older French oak hogsheads.

Although drinking well now, this wine may be cellared for up to ten years from vintage.

CHATEAU TANUNDA, GRAND BAROSSA SHIRAZ, 2016

Lifted aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and vanilla are accompanied by vibrant,rich dark berry fruits on the palate.

The finish is long with fine-grained tannins from sixteen months maturation in a combination of new and older French oak hogsheads. This classic blend combines the refined structure and rich fruit of Cabernet with the generous dark berry flavours of Malbec.

Although drinking well now, this wine may be cellared for up to ten years from vintage.

CHATEAU TANUNDA GRAND BAROSSA CHARDONNAY 2016

Aromas of citrus fruits, melon and white peach lead to bright tropical fruit flavours on the palate with a refreshing acidity.

On the finish hints of vanilla and cashew nut are derived from partial new French oak barrel maturation. Grand Barossa Chardonnay displays all the delicacy, elegance and finesse that can be achieved from this noble variety.
