Château de Fieuzal has been owned by Brenda and Lochlann Quinn since 2001. Originally from Ireland, they perpetuate the authentic expression of this terroir with great dynamism and passion from one vintage to another, giving the wines of Château de Fieuzal their unique signature style. The vineyard is located on a typical terroir of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, favourable conditions for the typical Bordeaux grape varieties.
This Graves Cru Classé watches over an exceptional vineyard of 68 hectares of red and 10 hectares of white vines. The vines are 30 years old on average and are planted on a terroir made up of fine soil covered with gravel.
The mild and particularly wet winter gave way to a spring that was also marked by heavy rainfall until the end of May, when flowering began. Although May and June were marked by good weather conditions, the summer was characterised, with the exception of the second half of July, by numerous stormy episodes, leading to a long veraison period. A hot and dry climate set in at the end of August for 4 weeks, alternating with cool nights. The grapes harvested boasted a great quality and revealed a beautiful concentration.
