Chateau Puy-Blanquet is located in the Saint-Emilion appellation of Bordeaux. The 25-hectare property is owned by the Jacquart family. The soils of Chateau Puy-Blanquet are made up of clay and chalk with plantings of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Green harvesting and leaf thinning are practised and harvesting is by hand. The style is fairly traditional, fresh and fruity with minimal use of oak with only 20% of the crop seeing barrels, of which 10% are new.
