Château Mazeyres 2016 is produced from a blend of three grape varieties, 90% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot, harvested from vines of 30 years of average age in the heart of the Pomerol appellation.
The 2016 vintage of Château Mazeyres has a purple colour with ruby tints.
On the nose, it unfolds on floral scents, rather airy as well as subtle fruity notes.
On the palate, Château Mazeyres 2016 offers a full-bodied, supple attack with blackcurrant and blueberry, nicely woody and enhanced by a few spicy notes.
At the end of the palate, this 2016 Pomerol reveals a nice length that would have benefited from being a little heavier.
